Great Place to Eat for A Night Out from College
There are many restaurants in the downtown area in Hammond. My friends and I decided that we should go eat somewhere after a long week of school. I heard about Tacos and Beer from classmates at school. They said they had the best tacos in Hammond. Once I heard this, I mentioned this to my friends. They all wanted to give it a try, so we decided to go eat there. We went around 8:00 on a Thursday night expecting it to be busy and have a wait time but when we arrived there were about 3 tables available.

The Sign of the building on the left. Great picture with the neon lights lit up in the night time.
There was a painted logo of their business on the wall right next to our table where we were seated.
Arriving to Tacos and Beer
When we arrived to the restaurant, we were seated right away. The server was very friendly and took our orders on drinks that we wanted. The server left to get our drinks and we started chatting at our table. I was observing the scene inside the building and their was a lot of art on the walls. Right where we were seated their was a logo of Tacos and Beer on the painted on the wall. Throughout the whole restaurant there were all kinds of cool designs on the walls that are expected to just pop out and grab your attention. They also had a few TV's hanging up on the wall with sports games playing. It would be a cool atmosphere to eat there and watch TV if they ever have a big game playing.

Ordering From the Menu
There was a lot to choose from on the menu. They had a wide variety of Mexican food which included chips and salsa, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and many more. They even had some sections for burgers, seafood, and salads. They brought us some chips and salsa when they brought us our drinks out. Their chips and salsa are top 5 I have had from a Mexican restaurant. You can't go wrong with tacos, so I ordered four street tacos. One of my friend also ordered four street tacos and my other friend ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla. The street tacos were $2.50 a piece, so it wasn't a bad price at all. (4 tacos for $10)

Food Review
The food came out in 15 minutes. Once I seen the tacos, I was ready to dig in. I went ahead and started to eat one of my tacos but after I finished eating one, I remembered to take a picture of the plate. So I took a picture of the plate and continued eating. After I finished eating, I thought to myself, that my classmates were right. These were some really good tacos. My friends who ordered the street tacos as well, thought the same as me.
Great Place to Eat
If you and your friends are looking for a place to eat in Tangipahoa Parish, I strongly recommend Tacos and Beer. The service was incredible while we were being served. We were expecting some heavy traffic but did not encounter too much while eating here. The atmosphere was friendly and the food was great. You can't beat the prices that they have for the quality of food you are getting.
